Samuel Tranters new project, Till We Have Faces
As 2009 blossoms a young musician form Blackburn finds himself embarking on a major new project, Samuel Tranter age 18 has found himself on new territory, he has decided to step aside from the band that he already plays a major part in and try something new. Revival reveals all, Samuel talks Faith, touring and new projects.
Till we have faces is far from the typical music project. It all occurred to Sam one night in a dream back in 2007, he dreamed that he should be doing much more with his God given talents, he dreamed of changing life’s , he dreamed of spreading the good word of the lord to thousands of people. And in order to achieve this he believed he had to change something, so here we are today, at the beginning of what is hopefully more than just a dream. Samuel as teamed up with the non-profit movement To Write Love On Her Arms! They are dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery. Sam hopes that through his music people will become more aware of what is actually going on out their in God’s world and can give everyone the opportunity to help and to be helped.
Whilst already a well established drummer from the Indi/Rock band ‘RELENTLESS CRAVING’ Samuel Tranter is ready to embrace new highs as he explodes on to the scene with his new project.
All you need t know about Samuel and his future plans…
These days you only ever see Samuel playing the drums , however he has lots of hidden talent yet to be reviled, on his album you will hear Samuel play the guitar, he plays both electric and acoustic, bass guitar, keys and also his impressive use of vocals. Here is what Samuel had to say about his up and coming plans: Well I’d like to try my hand at something new, sing a new song, if you like. I had an amazing dream about 18 months ago, I really strongly felt God telling me to move forward, almost to progress and take my talent further, I feel that I need to reach higher and spread the love of God to everyone out there. So I decided to dig out a load of old instruments, loop effects, from the basement! I have been working on some new songs and the album seems to be stringing along quite well at the moment, I am hoping and praying that with the way things are looking I should be ready to play some exclusive performances in the summer.
The project has been given a very interesting name, ‘Until we have Faces’ Samuel tells Revival more about the inspiration for this name, where it came from, and what it mean to him – Well the name is drawn directly from the title of a C.S Lewis work, he actually saw this as his greatest piece, I guess it is easy to see why! His works really relate with me and are relevant to my faith journey.
